You're 2 blocks from Penn Ave, with multiple great bars & restaurants, a ~7 minute walk to 50+ great places on both Liberty Ave and Butler St, and less than 3 blocks to UPMC Children's Hospital. You can't beat this location for it's quietness but easy proximity to everything you'd need!
Uber / Lyft are your best bet! Pittsburgh is one of the hardest cities in the country to drive in, due to the topography. This area is extremely walkable, however, with a 95 walk score!View More

Overall, it was great! There were a lot of seasonings in the kitchen, so it was easy to cook and eat. The room was warm and well cleaned. It was a good house! The place was clean and welcoming. It had fun decorations and thoughtful amenities. We always found parking in front of the house. The bed was comfy and the coffee was great. The host was very responsive. Three adults stayed here. The price point was extremely reasonable. The amenities are top-notch. Everything you could want to cook is in the kitchen. Coffee beans were ready to grind and brew. Beds were comfortable, towels were plush. Space is cozy and well apportioned. Easy drive to CMU.
We found Happenstance Café on Penn Avenue, .2 miles away, easy walk. Excellent find, and highly recommend this local business.
One thing to know: There is one full flight of stairs to access the first bedroom annd bathroom and the second bedroom is 2 flights up. This is 100% in the description and we totally knew this, but pointing it out to anyone who missed it. The stairs going up are shallow, my husband’s size 13 foot didn’t fully fit on the surface. My 82 year old dad was with us and he did fine, but I took his bag up and down. Bottom line if you have difficulty with balance or with stairs in general this probably isn’t the place for you.
Otherwise, book it! It’s a great find.
